I ♥ Farmer’s Markets. The produce is fresher, healthier, tastes better, and it’s a great way to support our local farmers. Every market is different and offers something unique, so check one out in your neighborhood.
Here’s a list of some in the Orange County area:
Huntington Beach: Main Street on Tuesday Nights from 5-9 PM and on Fridays at Pier Plaza, 12 PM-Dusk.
Costa Mesa Orange County Fairgrounds at 88 Fair Drive on Thursday from 9am-1pm. Also, there is a great selection of produce at the Swap Meet that is held there on Saturday and Sunday, 7am-4pm.
Westminster Parking lot of Westminster Mall at Goldenwest & Bolsa,Wednesdays from 12-5pm.
Irvine At the Historic Park, Irvine Ranch, located at 13042 Old Myford Road on Tuesdays from 9am-1pm. And, Saturdays in the parking lot of University Plaza across from UCI on Saturdays from 8am-12pm.
Long Beach In the parking lot of the Alamitos Bay Marina, located at E. Marina Dr. south of E. 2nd St. on Sundays from 9am-2pm.
Everyday Alternatives If I am unable to make it to a Farmers Market then I will usually head to Farm Boy in Huntington Beach at 18685 Main St. in the Five Points Shopping Center or Growers Direct in Costa Mesa at 101 East 17th Street.
